Renewal's International Day of Prayer for Creation

SOUTH PACIFIC-

A few weeks ago, we joined our partner organization, Renewal, and countless Christians around the world to pray for the many ongoing concerns of Creation.
Here at the Old Convent, we had students write an environmental concern from their place of home and pin it up on the board. Each day of the week, each person would choose a paper, or rather place, to pray for.

Examples were...
Salmon stock depletion in Vancouver, B.C., Canada
Natural gas extraction of the Marcellus Shale in Southwestern Pennsylvania
Asian carp invasion in Lake Michigan
Waste disposal on the Big Island of Hawaii
Irrigation issues in the Deschutes water shed in central Oregon

And of course, our newest home, New Zealand, also has its environmental concerns. We will continue to monitor them and pray for healing of this land.

Check out more of Renewal's efforts and the International Day of Prayer for Creation.
